introduction

matchWeDo is an application to help you connect with other business people in many different ways:

• By location - Near you or near your place of business
• In a segment - in a particular segment such as Lawyers or Special Offers.
• By department - in an typical department like Accounting or Human Resources
• By type - either a person or a campaign launched by a person

What differentiates it from other social applications is that with matchWeDo you are looking for people you don't already know based on your business location or where you are now.

my profile

Your profile contains information such as your name, an image, your job function, your business location and most importantly the text you want people to see.

Keeping it up-to-date ensures your latest information is available to others. At a minimum you need to fill in your first name, last name and a location for your profile to be displayed to anyone else, but it is better to complete as much as possible to ensure your profile is relevant.

There are also some settings that affect the way you use matchWeDo. Take time to review your profile and ensure it contains up-to-date information.

location

Location is one of the key components of matchWeDo. There are two types of location:

1. First you must specify a location in your profile and to be able to publish a campaign. Data entry is powered by Google Maps so as you type in the field, it will suggest locations for you. You can be as specific as you like. For example type "Brussels" and it will suggest "Brussels, Belgium", or you can go further and type "5 Rue Neuve, Brussels" and it will show the precise address. There is no privacy issue here as you control exactly what you want displayed.
2. The second one is your current location. This will be automatically updated based on where you are. It uses the standard geolocation service and so honours whatever setting you have on your device or browser for location services. For example, if you have check once a day set, it will prompt you every day to confirm. If you have turn off location services, we will never store your current location. You can also control whether we use location services or not from your settings in My Profile and you switch it off temporarily by clicking on the location icon in the main menu bar.
